Jay R. Shedd is the President of The Shedd Team, LLC. A business consulting company that specializes in Guam, USA.
Prior to starting his company, Jay was the Executive Vice president of Citadel Pacific, the parent company of PTI Pacific Inc. which does business as IT&E; IP&E – which operates Shell and Foody’s; Solenergy Micronesia; Fujita Property Guam Inc.; PACIFICPOINTS; and Travlr. He also served as Senior Director of sales, marketing and customer service at IT&E, a large wireless service and sales provider in Guam and the Marianas.
Before joining the Citadel company, Mr. Shedd was at the helm of Sorensen Media Group (SMG) as its President and CEO. SMG is the largest broadcast media company in Guam and the CNMI owning 5 radio stations and the affiliate of FOX and ABC television. He worked there for 4 years and remains on the Board of Directors.
Mr. Shedd was also the President and CEO of DOCOMO PACIFIC, overseeing all aspects of the largest telecommunications company in Guam and the CNMI from 2008 to 2014.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, business development, sales and marketing. He first moved to Guam in 1994 to lead GuamCell Communications. Mr. Shedd’s experience in the telecommunications industry also includes varied positions with Motorola Communications and Electronics, Inc.
Mr. Shedd’s community involvement includes board and committee positions on the American Red Cross of Guam, Guam Chamber of Commerce, Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association, Guam International Airport Authority, Andersen Air Force Civilian Advisory Group, American Cancer Society, and the Rotary Club of Guam. Mr. Shedd is a recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious Ancient Order of Chamorri and the 2011 Guam Business Executive of the Year.
Mr. Shedd received his Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
